Star Power ChoiceGenerally speaking if you feel confident that you can continue applying pressure after hitting your super Meteor Rush is the optimal choice since the extra speed is useful for catching up to opponents and recharging your super as fast as possible. It's also very good for those who aren't very accurate with the super and can miss quite a bit since it can help with escaping shots or chasing down opponents.However, if you don't think you have the capability to keep damaging opponents after hitting your super El Fuego is also a really good option for maximizing your super's damage value since it helps to deal more damage and even prevents the opponents you hit from healing for another 4 seconds. By all means this star power is a very good option if you're looking to play more passively. Note that this is assuming that you do not have a full offensive playstyle.Gadget ChoiceThe better option is going to be Suplex Supplement. This is going to be your main weapon for stopping dangerous supers and continuing combos. You can use this to get someone off the ball, move someone out of the way while trying to score, move a hard melee counter away during your gem countdown etc. The uses for this gadget are endless. Generally the safest option.Asteroid Belt is very niche when it comes to it's functions, wall breaking in Brawl Ball is pretty easy since you're going to charge your super quite a few times during the match so it's not really needed there. Most brawlers of normal and above movement speed can easily avoid the meteor since it's fall delay from the moment you use your gadget is pretty long. It's not completely useless though and it can be used every now and then to apply the extra pressure your team needs or to deal extra damage to the safe. Use at your own risk.GearsIf you want to keep chaining your super and hopefully get that team wipe, Super Charge gear is going to be your best option. It's incredibly useful if you know you're not going to get in a lot of hits when playing a particular game mode.Health gear is insanely neat and pairs with the Super Charge gear very well. Since you only need to be close to death twice to fully charge your super. Hence all you need to do is run out, take a lot of damage until you're low. Retreat and heal up quickly and repeat the process to get your super. A very good pick for all maps.Speed and Damage gear are also very very good options depending on the map you're playing on. But I would recommend the Damage gear instead since El Primo already has a fast movement speed and there are probably better options to play on bushy maps.Shield and Gadget Charge are only decent. El Primo already has the second highest health in the game you really wouldn't need any more of it. While Gadget Charge can be paired with Asteroid Belt for a very spammy and fun strategy but it's not a very good idea if you're playing to win.Vision gear is probably the most niche gear you might end up using. This is only really good on maps like Cavern Churn and Snake Prairie but most of the time you're only going to win about 60-70% of your matchups there if you're a good player. So in general playing El Primo on bushy maps is a risky but pretty worthwhile choice. Very niche gear.General StrategyBrawl Ball is going to be your go-to mode with this build. Mainly the slightly walled maps that don't provide too much cover for artillery brawlers to wipe the floor with you. Be patient with your gameplay and focus on charging your super through chip damage and some punches. However never be unready for a chance to sneak up to opponents and take them down. In 1v1s you're generally going to come out on top at close range so try to apply more pressure by safely making forward progression brawlers that you can win your 1v1s.Your combo without a super is going to be something around the lines of this (assuming your opponent has an absurd amount of health):Attack > Attack > Suplex > Attack > SuperIf you have a super and you really want to win your 1v1 go something along the lines of this:Super > Attack > Suplex > Attack > AttackIf you can take down an opponent without using your super that will be incredibly useful. Then you can focus on trying to hit multiple other opponents with your super and that's when you can begin your super chain to teamwipe.
