Guide
As a thrower, Willow has trouble dealing with close range enemies that deals direct damage (Edgar, Mortis) but her shots land faster the closer the range. So, even though she might die, she can easily charge her super fully because of the closeness of enemies. She has a slow reload speed, but that doesn't prevent her from dealing nice damage if you manage to land the shots accurately.
If you're in a good position (behind a safe wall, where nobody can reach you, or if you're about to confirm a kill), use the gadget to gain time for your teammates to eventually take down who was chasing you and yet still be alive and in position.
For her super, she takes control of an enemy and it lasts for 4 seconds, or gets countered if the mind-controlled enemy's health drops at 30% of its max health. It's a short period of time, so this speed star power lets you gain more value from it and it is very good in Brawl Ball, to score goals, or in Showdown, to send enemies perish in the poison clouds. The other star power is very weird simply because we are never sure if it works or not, and it might impact slow-reload brawlers (Meeple, Piper) but fast-reload ones won't hesitate to chase you down even though their reload speed is slowed down. If you don't have a clear goal of what to do with the super when using it at close range brawlers, just waste all their ammo and get them as far away as possible from you. Also, use your super when you're away from other enemies or make sure you're behind a wall and protected.
Damage and shield gear are probably the best ones even though other ones can be very useful, but the best picks in any situation are probably these two. They help filling the lack of health of Willow, meaning she has more health and can less easily be taken down by high damage Brawlers, and damage gear can deal up to 2,760 damage is active. 3 well-landed shots and it's practically a confirmed kill.
I hope this guide is clear enough, and if you ever decide to join the Willow side, welcome !

Game Modes

Brawl Ball
Once you gain control of an enemy who has the ball, you can make your way to the goal easily. With the speed star power, it's even easier. You can also cancel goals for when enemies are about to score, either by walking in or just shooting the ball in. Simply mind control the enemy, and voilà !

Knockout
In all sorts of maps, especially the ones with walls, Willow can prove herself to be a really good pick. Slowly charge your super when you're able to, deal good damage, as soon as the opportunity shows up in end-game, send an enemy into the poison, but remember to not stay in reach of other enemies.

Showdown
She might not be the best brawler for farming cubes and kills, but mind controlling enemies to kill other ones or just send them in the poison is quite a fun interaction. With that unique super, you can easily burst down other enemies depending of who you control. She's also the best counters to teamers. Two clowns spinning together ? Oh, they wanna be friends. Nope ! Control the strongest one, kill the other one and if you can, send them as far away as possible from you so they don't come back as easily !
