For me being a pro Gray player in Brawl Stars I know exactly what you need in order to play this character correctly as what you can see this Is The Best gadget star power in into gears along with this hyper charge can get you.
Walking Cane
Gray's next hit from the Finger Pistol shoots a walking cane which pulls enemies back by a bit.
Fake Injury
When Gray has full health, the next damage taken is reduced by 50%.
Shield
Gain extra 900 Health as a consumable Shield. The shield regenerates in 10 seconds, when at full health.
Gadget Charge
Increases number of Gadget uses per battle by 1.

it is no such trouble that Gray is a difficult character to play however, with this loadout, you can dominate not only just 3V3 game modes, but also solo showdown. A little tiff that you should know is the infamous cane glitch. If you throw your cane gadget and it hit someone and you teleport at the same time the cane will go through to where you stand when you first threw the cane. This can be very helpful in solo showdown however it can be difficult to land.

Knockout
Knockout is Gray’s best game mode for him to play with little amount opponents to defeat it can make it easy against characters who have shorter range.
Bounty
Like I said before would knock out with the little amount of opponents can make it easy to play Gray correctly.
Showdown
Yes as long as you know the cane glitch you should be able to perform just as well as a kit can.

Buzz because of Gray’s super which can teleport buzz into the fray.
