Penny all-rounding build

Penny's gadgets and Star Powers are very versatile and will be switched often depending on the gamemode and matchup. Penny herself can be used in multiple modes and a pretty wide range of maps, so she's one of the brawlers I'd advise getting both gadgets and Star Powers for.GadgetPenny's Barrel gadget should be used when matched against an assassin, or on a close map. Placing the barrel and hitting it will win nearly every single matchup, even against tanks. It's better for 1v1s and winning your lane, so will be better for a tighter KO. Be wary of using this gadget if the opposing team has wall breakers, since within getting close, the gadget's damage potential isn't the best. It has some alternative uses: blocking an attack from enemies like Piper, spreading your attack to make it more likely to hit an attack against a fast-moving opponent... etc.The Spyglass should be used in other situations, since the control is pretty significant. I'd recommend using it for Hot Zone or Heist in almost all situations, even if Barrel would also be viable. I'd try to get a teammate that can synergize with it, such as Squeak's slow or Kit, to make sure the cannon's attack lands.Star PowerThe Star Power that deals damage upon placing works better against assassins since otherwise even with barrel, you will often die. It can be used to get the kill if required too, acting like a thrower's attack.
Otherwise, the other Star Power is better. It's good for control in Open Maps and a large DPS increase in closed maps. Against lower-skilled opponents who often group up, this will pretty much always be the better attack. If the map only has a couple open lanes, this provides far too much pressure to be ignored. Synergizes very well with barrel, making it more reliably kill assassins.GearsAll gears are pretty good. Pet Power is probably the best, just because her turret is half of her kit. If you are short on coins, I'd recommend damage. You'll be able to survive on Penny for a decently long time due to her decent health and high range. You'll get a lot of value from this too.
