Shelly is the starting brawler, but don’t underestimate her! With this in depth guide, you can master Shelly in no time. These tips and tricks are meant for beginners, but I hope the veterans can pick some stuff up as well.

Clay Pigeons
On activation, for the next 5 seconds Shelly's main attacks focus the fire to a smaller area with an increased range.

Shell Shock
Shelly's Super shells slow down enemies for 2 seconds!

Shield
Gain extra 900 Health as a consumable Shield. The shield regenerates in 10 seconds, when at full health.

Damage
Deal 15% extra Damage when your Brawler is below 50% Health.
Guide
Reminder: Upvote this Guide if you think this guide was helpful. This will help other players and also boost my self confidence. Thanks for visiting and enjoy!Main Attack: BuckshotHer main attack fires a burst of 5 shotgun shells in a spread pattern and her reload speed is Normal. Each shell deals 600 damage at level 11 for a total of 3000 damage if all shells hit. Try to stay in a bush, pop out, be in front of the opponent’s face and unload all your ammo. The opposition will deal with 9k dmg if done right.Super: Super ShellShelly’s Super fires a powerful blast that deals damage to enemies and knocks them back. It can also destroy obstacles. It deals 5760 damage at close range at level 11.Gadget: Clay PigeonsShelly gets an increased range and fires ammo in a concentrated area for 5 seconds allowing all her shots to land which can deal the full 3000 dmg on power level 11. Always play ‘Clay Pigeons’ when playing Shelly. This is the better gadget, as this provides more value than a dash. Beware as it lasts a short time, opponents can wait for your gadget to end and you will be much weaker for them to kill you. About 4 shots can land in that time period so use it wisely.Gadget: Fast Forward Shelly dashes forward, skipping a few unnecessary steps! I personally don’t recommend this gadget because it is Max’s ‘Phase Shifter’ gadget (if you don’t know, it is a dash forward like Shelly, but unlike her Max is immune to ALL damage during the dash) Shelly can take damage. Sure the dash can save you from a Mandy super (a MASSIVE ray of candy that does 5k damage at power level 11) if you are under 5k you are surely dead, however the other gadget offers more value. If the dash was longer, and provided damage reduction then this could be considered (in my opinion). Until that update, you are Bull charging in with his super without the ‘Stomper’ gadget ( Bull charges with his super but takes all damage. His ‘Stomper’ gadget makes him stop his super and slow the enemies around him.)Star Power: Band AidThis star power ensures Shelly’s survival as this can heal Shelly when she is low. Play this star power as a default. This can save your life. This is recommended in solo showdown and in 3 vs 3 game modes.Star Power: Shell ShockIf you want to play this star power, I recommend this in 3 vs 3 game modes than solo, duo showdown (I think it is fine to play this in trio showdown but in general play ‘Band Aid’ star power in showdown.) Getting your super and slowing your opponents is a free kill, especially with the ‘Clay Pigeons’ gadget. If you use this star power, make sure you hit as many brawlers as possible so that your star power gets the most value. This is recommended to f2p (free to play) players.Gears: Solo Showdown: Always play Shield Gear in solo showdown
Second gear, I recommend the Damage gear, but run the Speed gear on bushy maps. Additionally, consider the Gadget Cooldown gear because if you are in and out of fights, you always want the ‘Clay Pigeons’ gadget.3 vs 3:Always play Damage gear.
For second gear I recommend the Shield gear but you can replace this and play Speed gear on bushy maps. F2P (free to play players):I recommend the Shield gear and the Damage gear but people sometimes say to replace the Shield with Speed gear. For star power, go for the ‘Shell Shock’, and obviously go for the ‘Clay Pigeons’ gadget.Recommended Buys:Buy the ‘Clay Pigeons’ gadget, both ‘ Band Aid’ and ‘ Shell Shock’, and buy the Damage, Speed, Shield, and Gadget Cooldown gears. (If you can afford of course, if not stick to the f2p recommendation)Hypercharge: Double BarrelShelly’s super, ‘Super Shell’ is 33% larger! This allows for great plays as with the ‘Shell Shock’ star power, she can slow more enemies. This also buffs Shelly’s stats including 25% speed boost, 25% shield boost and a 5% damage boost. The extra damage from Shelly’s hyper with the speed boost can ensure an easy kill. In Solo Showdown, I recommend to save your hyper, as it can save your life with the 25% shield and speed boost. For 3 vs 3s, use it with your super to get the most value.Tips and Tricks:Solo Showdown:
Honestly best tip here is bush camping because she is a shotgun brawler meaning that she does a lot of damage up close.3 vs 3:Brawl ball goal:Shoot the ball, then fire your super to break walls and make sure the ball goes in. Opponents cannot stop your ball because they will be knocked back because of your super.Cancel Opponent Supers:Because of the knock back mechanic of Shelly’s super, firing the super can save your life .
Ex. Frank’s super, ‘Stunning Blow’ can stun you and give Frank a guaranteed kill if you get stunned. Sacrificing your super to stop Frank’s super can help you live, especially if you are running the ‘Clay Pigeons’ gadget and cannot dash away.Super Cycle:You can cycle supers with Shelly because if you hit opponents at point blank range with super, you need 2 more normal attacks to get your super again, dealing around 1800 damage in that short time ( 2x 3000 dmg Main attack, 2x ~6000 dmg Super)
Game Modes

Showdown
Bush camp man. High trophy players always bush camp, and so be patient until they come to you. Shelly is one of the best solo showdown brawlers.

Brawl Ball
As mentioned above, Shelly can score goals that enemies cannot block, as long as she can make it to the goal. Additionally if she works with a tank, Shelly can provide cover as well as a wall break so that the teammates can score. Plus, her super can knock back enemies guarding the goal.
Works Well With

Bea
Bea can capitalize on the ‘Shell Shock’ gadget allowing for great plays. Bea can also keep Shelly safe from ranged brawlers, and can provide additional slow with her super, ‘Iron Hive’. Most sharpshooters can work well with Shelly.
