Guide
TL;DR- Stella is very versatile due to her good attack range, fast movespeed, and fast reload.
- Her kit revolves around pressuring her opponents from a distance until she finds an angle to dash in and clean up with her ultimate.
- Gadget gives you more angles during ult by teleporting unexpectedly.
- Star Power increases damage and gives you angles for one-shots that are otherwise impossible.
- Shield & Damage Gears synergize well with her ultimate because she needs protection when going in and heals based on damage dealt.
- Good at every mode, best at modes where she gets directly rewarded for kills.
- Prefers maps with lots of walls and some bushes so she can position for both ranged and melee mode.
- Prefers match-ups where she can beat her opponents by controlling the distance or overwhelming them as Starr Nova during ultimate.

The gadget travels rather slowly so it's tough to hit at a distance, but the extra 1600 damage can make all the difference in close-range combat! Just make sure you don't auto-aim it, since it's a little unreliable that way lol.
Pro Tip: It's usually best to throw your gadget one way towards the opponent, the use your ultimate dash in the other direction towards them in order to make sure that they have no escape from your Nova Sword! The other gadget gives great team utility and allows you to dodge some ultimates, but it make your transformation less reliable therefore it's less desirable as a solo player.star powersYou pick "Power Level: Maximum" as your Star Power so you can wipe out entire teams and duel the strongest of the strongest brawlers by keeping the right spacing and swinging at max distance or peeking around corners. Stella (Starr Nova's real name) is at her strongest when she transforms into Starr Nova with her ultimate, but all her damage relies on her ammo. She deals 2000 damage per swing, so that's 6000 damage until you have to reload. That's usually not enough to oneshot people, so this Star Power gives your all-ins the extra oomph that you need to finish people off immediately. Her other Star Power allows Stella to heal her teammates with her main attack. Not desirable as a solo player since you don't know if your teammates will be useful or not. Can help on Hot Zone, Gem Grab and knockout maps tho.gearsAs for gears, Damage and Shield are your defaults. Shield is needed because Stella's worst enemy is going down before she can get in range to swing her magical sword at all the villains. She tends to take quite a bit of return damage during her transformation, Damage Gear amps her up during the fight so she can take down her opponents easier. During her transformation, the sword swings will heal her based on total damage dealt. Therefore this gear also improves her survivability when it triggers during her ultimate. As for Stella outside of her ultimate form, her attacks deal 2160 damage if you hit both shots per ammo. She can fire all 3 ammo very quickly, but it usually isn't enough to 1v1 other high damage characters. This is where the gear kicks in to save her from time to time.playstyleYou can play aggressive against short range brawlers and squishy ones that go down to your 3-ammo combo. Otherwise, play at your max range and look for poke angles until you can all-in with your ultimate. Her variety of playstyles makes her good at every mode in the game, but she's best at modes where she gets heavily rewarded for taking down her opponents. She heavily prefers to play on maps where there's plenty of walls and a few bushes for her to outplay her opponents. You don't want the map to be too open, since that makes her vulnerable to snipers. You also don't want too many bushes since she loses most 1v1s against close-range brawlers.Once you get the ball rolling, it becomes incredibly easy to repeatedly steamroll your opponents with her ultimate. She can work against brawlers that lack the range to trade back when she's perfectly spacing in ultimate form (Stuff like Edgar, Primo or Damian) but she feels pretty bad to play against tanky brawlers that have longer ranges (stuff like Bibi, Nita or Bull). She also feels bad to play against brawlers that can outrange her IF the map is too open. Due to her high movement speed, she's solid against throwers tho. Try to pick her against characters that have a hard time dealing with her ranged attacks OR pick her against brawlers that can not catch or outdamage her during her ultimate transformation.Shameless self-plugLinking the first impression video that's already live on YouTube right now, but working on a more in-depth guide in Video Form as well. She's around 2.5k trophies for me now, but I kinda want 3k trophies for the video. I'll leave a TL;DR up top since this was quite some information and it took a minute to write as well, so leave an upvote to remind me that people are waiting and guides are appreciated! xoxo
Game Modes
Bounty
One of, if not her best game mode. Can play safe by staying at a distance, can swing the tide of battle by taking out the highest bounty in the enemy team. Players usually pick safe snipers or close-range brawlers in this gamemode depending on the map.Stella generally does well against both. If the map is closed, Stella can hide from the snipers until she has her gadget or ultimate to run them down, but she can also keep the close-range brawlers at bay with her superior range and movement speed.
Brawl Ball
If bounty isn't her best game mode, then it's probably Brawl Ball. Stella has great control over the map with her range and can easily score by her lonesome by self-passing with her ultimate and running down the field with superior movement speed. If you want to be extra fancy, you can self-pass by throwing out your gadget and teleporting onto the ball. It's a bit more telegraphed than her ultimate, but it's still hard to react to for the opponents.
Gem Grab
Don't carry too many gems. You want to be able to fulfill your role as an assassin during your ult without fearing that you might throw the game. Can opt for a more supportive playstyle as the gem carrier with floaty gadget and healing star power if your team has too many assassins already.Generally want to poke at the enemy brawlers until you can take down the gem carrier with a well-timed ultimate. She's great at swinging the game by taking down priority targets, and her gadgets and ultimate make it really hard to catch her once she rightfully holds a big portion of gems.
Brawl Arena
By far her best game mode imo. She's strong both in lane and in the jungle as long as you can keep your distance until the time is ripe. The piercing ranged attacks give her insanely safe and effective waveclear and also allow her to challenge monster camps (although it takes a little bit of time)Her ultimate gives her insane healing when you can splash the minion wave alongside the enemy brawlers. It also allows you to 1v4 the big monster camp with ease and it's great for pushing turrets as well. With smart usage, you can keep cycling it permanently as you run your foes down.Gadget can be used for extra waveclear in a pinch, but is best used to traverse the map or iniate a fight with her ultimate.
Works Well With
Gus
Gus' shield allows Stella to dash in with her transformation without a single worry in the world. As for the comp itself, Gus' main attack gives the team much-needed ranged artillery that Stella herself tends to lack. The pressure from Gus' range on his main attack allows Stella to get into position so she can farm her ultimate and charge in as Starr Nova.
Damian
Damian's ultimate is a very easy way for Stella to swing her sword on all of the opponents at the same time. She cleans up incredibly well when opponents are stacked, since she gains more healing the more damage she deals. Her ranged attacks are also piercing, so she doesn't even have to commit to using her ultimate to profit from Damian's stadium. As for the comp itself, Damian's high health pool and strong close-ranged pressure means that he likes to play on the same kind of maps as Stella does. Lots of walls and preferably some bushes here and there. They can roam the map together and if you have a trusty Damian as your duo, you could consider opting into Stella's other Star Power to keep healing him or use her other gadget so you guys can jump the wall together.
