Guide
Build:Level:10 and 11 both work if you don't want to upgrade to max, level 11 is preferable, however.Gears:Doug has a wide variety of gears to choose from with many being both useful and deadly. The ones this build displays however is Gadget Charge and Damage, Gadget Charge is a must for Doug as it allows him to use his Double Sausage gadget again, which is undeniably his greatest asset. Damage provides the small amount of extra damage needed to take down a brawler but can be switch with Shield, Health, and Speed relatively reasonably. Shield and Health simply just make him live for longer so is viable for a tank or support build, and Speed is used to make him more deadly in more bush focused maps, as he can run in and out of a fight very quickly.Gadget:Realistically, you should only ever be using the Double Sausage gadget on Doug as the amount of damage is simply unfathomable. People like to hate on Doug a lot as he may not be the strongest brawler for sure, but you simply cannot deny the potential this brawler holds. You are able to take down a large variety of brawlers incredibly quickly just by touching two buttons.Star Powers:Once again, this isn't a tough choice as the Self Service star power is simply better. The ability to both heal yourself while in the midst of a battle is incredibly useful and makes the difference between life and death significant. Although the amount of healing is rather small, it still can be very useful while in a match.Best Game Modes:-Hot Zone:Immediately rush in as Doug in an attempt to gain early control over zone, depending on your match ups this should be a generally easy task as Doug's Double Sausage gadget allows him to take down most brawlers with only 3 hits, multiple at a time as well. Once you've gained control over zone, it is as simple as killing your opponents as they come or simply just stalling using your super while your teammates attack.Solo Showdown:At first you want to get the few boxes near you, possibly giving 2-3 power cubes, at this point it is best to rush mid, using cover to your advantage to close distance and stay safe. Pick off low health brawlers as they come and beware of long range hard hitters such as Piper. Once the gas closes in you want to try and make it as small as possible, making it nearly impossible for your opponent to survive your attacks. Use your super wisely and take advantage of the Self Service star power.Best Teammates: -Piper:Piper can take down long range brawlers that Doug can't quite reach without risking his life, Piper provides a large range and a substantial amount of damage to take down most threats with 2-3 shots.-Sandy:Once Sandy gains his super, it is almost impossible to not die to a Doug, as once they sneak up on you, you're pretty much already dead as he can finish you very quickly, especially if you are a low health brawler.Overall Strategy:As Doug you want to take advantage of your high health and damage output as much as possible, Doug may be labeled as a support brawler but he would fit much more in the tank or controller/damage dealer. Doug works best in crowds as it allows him to hit multiple opponents at once, charging his super even faster, allowing him to come back and deal even more damage if not defeat the brawlers completely. Doug can cycle his ammo and super to pretty much live infinitely as the self healing and super usage is an overpowered combination.Pros:-Doug has a large amount of health and damage that can be utilized successfully majority of the time-Doug isn't a difficult brawler to play, but he is hard to counter, allowing most people to use him wellCons:-Doug is situational and won't work extremely well in most game modes, being kind of average, however when he does well, he excels extravagantly-As a mythic brawler, Doug is hard to obtain, making him not viable or open for most players to useNotes:-Upon release of Doug skins, most of the time they have a bug which makes them do double healing, but only in that skin. Brawl Stars developers are quick to fix this issue however, so it generally only works for a week after the skin is released.Overall Rating:Doug is an above average brawler with high damage output and health, his healing is kind of lacking, but he still makes an incredibly good and fun brawler to play. I am a bit biased as he is my favourite brawler, but this build is realistic to the actual thing.Build Made By:dachoppieBrawl Stars Username:DRK | Cheese
