After two years of being live, Blizzard has announced that Warcraft Rumble will no longer be getting new content. With a relatively optimistic launch, the game was unable to sustain long-term player interest.
Throughout the months of live development, new events, game modes, and characters were added. Many of these additions helped make the game stand out and provided new ways to play for current players; however, it seemed like they weren’t enough to draw in new ones.
From Blizzard’s recent news post, it states they will, “continue supporting Rumble with updates focused on regular, systemic in-game events and bug fixes, but no new content. ” These events will most likely be the regular challenge-based systems that offer tickets to collect rewards.
Other than that, we should no longer expect new characters, maps, or game modes.
