Guide
What if I told you that you’ve been playing the Assassin class brawler: Edgar wrong the entire time? This guide will cover his strengths, weaknesses, what he counters, what counters him, best strategies, and the ideal build for him.1. Strengths & Weaknesses✅ Strengths:
• High Mobility: Super allows him to jump over walls and escape from bad situations
• Self-Healing: Every punch heals him, making him sustainable in fights
• Fast Reload Speed: Quick burst damage with his reload speed of 0.7 seconds
• Easy Super Charge: His trait allows him to get super without fighting❌ Weaknesses:
• Low Range: Struggles against long-range brawlers
• Squishy: Can be burst down quickly if caught out
• Super Dependent: Without his jump, he is useless2. Best Modes and Maps✅ Best Modes:
• Solo Showdown – By far the best mode for Edgar
• Brawl Ball – Can jump onto enemies to teamwipe and score goals
• Knockout – Great for picking off isolated enemies❌ Worst Modes:
• Gem Grab – Struggles against long-range brawlers
• Hot Zone – Not ideal since he needs to jump in and out rather than hold zonesBest Maps:
Look for maps with bushes and walls where Edgar can ambush enemies. Open maps make him too vulnerable. For Solo Showdown, I would recommend these maps: Skull Creek, Stormy Plains, Rockwall Brawl, Sunsit Vista, and Safety Center. You can play him in more open maps such as Double Trouble. NEVER play him in open maps and really closed maps as in open maps generally fit long range brawlers over Edgar and closed maps don’t fit Edgar as well.3. Best BuildsGadgets:
1. Let’s Fly! – Charges his super very quickly
2. Hardcore - Edgar gains a shield that disintegrates over time and has a shield of 3300 damage when activated, best gadget for Edgar in most casesStar Powers:
1. Hard Landing - Deals damage while landing after using super
2. Fisticuffs – Increases lifesteal effect. Good against tanky enemiesBest Gear:
• Shield Gear – Gives Edgar more health
• Super charge Gear – Makes him useless for a shorter amount of time4. Playstyle & TipsEarly Game:
• Avoid direct fights before getting Super
• Hide in bushes and charge up by poking enemies or collecting boxes (in Showdown)Mid Game:
• Look for isolated or low-health enemies to jump on
• Use walls and bushes to get close before engaging
• Be careful of brawlers with stuns or burst damage (e.g., Shelly, Buster with his super)Late Game:
• Wait for the perfect moment to strike—jumping in too early can get you killed
• In Showdown, let other players fight and eliminate the low hpOptional: When you kill someone, spin around them and thumbs down pin them becuase you are an Edgar main. How to fight Edgar vs Edgar:
Your range is longer with Edgar if you run backwards than when compared to when you are chasing someone so you will hit them if you run away and they chase you but they can’t hit you. The other Edgar will usually realize their mistake when they are very low on health or when they are dead.
