The slowing toxin gadget is overrated af. i have him maxed out with every gadget, gear, etc, and this gadget is far better. 40% is a lot and very useful for an assassin. in case you have the other gadget and don't want to spend gold, just don't use your super unless it's on a very squishy brawler like throwers or snipers, or you will get clapped. Both starpowers are very good. Extra toxic is better for most gamemodes, but crow is mainyl used in heist, and the other starpower works in the box as well, so its better. i would only suggest buying the hypercharge if you are only going to play in heist. in other gamemodes, it's not that good and pretty hard to charge. the gears are mandatory. about the gameplay, crow is better used as a controller than an assassin. just go chipping the enemies, until you see one of them weak and attack him with his super. he's very fast but very squishy so you have to dodge very well to use him properly. . if you play crow, just focus on getting your super (or your hyper if you bought it) and go full attacking the safe. crow is also good defending but his potential in this gamemode should make him attack the safe mainly, without caring about your stats. If you play in hot zone, play him as a right/left, he has a lot of range but very low hp and no defense mechanism except his super, but until you get it, stay on one lane. his principal counters are brawlers with a lot of dps that can get close to him, or brawlers that outrange him. examples: colt, piper and gene outrange him, and edgar, darryl or el primo destroy him up close. he can work in other modes, like in brawl ball, but a lot of tanky assassins are used there, and they counter crow. in gem grab, he is not optimal either, because he is not a good gem carrier and not a good tank counter either, and in knockout, you should not be playing him because of his low hp and his low damage potential
