As someone consistently doing Top on Global Leaderboards, this is the best build for L&L.
Order: Fall Back
Dash towards Lawrie while Lawrie dashes towards you, healing both for 25% of max health.
Protocol: Assist
While Lawrie is in range, reload 30% of your ammo whenever he damages an enemy.
Damage
Deal 15% extra Damage when your Brawler is below 50% Health.
Shield
Gain extra 900 Health as a consumable Shield. The shield regenerates in 10 seconds, when at full health.
Guide
For a truly effective Larry and Lawrie build in Brawl Stars, prioritizing shield damage is key. Before the health nerf and gadget rework, I would've suggested gadget gear as Larry had 6k health, but ever since the nerf and gadget rework, having the additional 900 is very important on Larry as it allows him to win many 1v1s, with a key example being against a Dynamike super. The heal gadget is without a doubt the better gadget. I've tried using the swap one by having two throwers but it's not worth it. I would suggest placing Lawrie before you die in gamemodes such as Hot Zone, Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, in order to instantly gadget to help keep pressure against the opposing team, as they would be dealing with Lawrie before this. The Assist star power is way better than Protect nowadays, because you don't even need the extra tankiness when you can just out DPS your opponents. I got rank 35 Larry before the gadget rework and he is really nice into Frank, as you can just mash auto-aim when you have Lawrie down, and use a gadget in order to keep Lawrie alive.
Game Modes
Brawl Ball
The maps I'd suggest are Triple Dribble, Sneaky Fields, Pinball Dreams, Beach Ball, and you could also make them work in Sunny Soccer and Rooftop Runners.
Hot Zone
I personally dislike playing Larry and Lawrie in Hot Zone, so I only play him on Parallel Plays, but he can be played on almost all maps except for Open Zone and don't pick him into wallbreak on Open Business.
Bounty
Layer Cake, Shooting Star, Hideout, and Canal Grande especially, are the maps I'd play them on.
Gem Grab
Just every map except for Forest Clearing, Last Stop, Open Space, and Rustic Arcade.
Works Well With
Belle
Constant chip damage forcing teammates to stay away, making it much easier to do those 1v1 match-ups you want with Larry.
Gene
Especially in Bounty as you can constantly chip away at opponents, and when Lawrie is at Gene and you are at an opponent, you can make some fun plays with Gene super and gadget.
Hank
Especially on Parallel Plays and Canal Grande, they are really good at applying pressure, but without walls both are very frail.
Max
Even after OT in Brawl Ball Max can make Larry work with her super, allowing for a lot more pressure and making it much easier to dodge.
