Who I amI am a player that hates Edgar very much, but has a big rank. My Edgar stands 13 trophies shy from rank 48. Through my adventure, I discovered the best tips & tricks and of course the best build to play him right.Overview🚀Edgar is a brawler loved❤️ by Tomar753. He is a no-skill epic Brawler, has a very fast movement speed🏃‍♂️, equiped with 6600 health, a very short range at his attack, but a high burst💥 damage. His scarves🧣 deal 1080 damage (2160 in total), healing him for 756 HP. His super allows him to travel around the map, charging even without hitting enemies. His hypercharge allows him to recharge his ammo faster after jumping onto an enemy.Gadgets📗Let's Fly🪰: Edgar's Super charges faster, 525% for 4 seconds. His super is fully charged in 5 seconds, allowing you to make sneaky plays and surprise enemies.Hardcore🛡: Edgar gets a 3300 shield that loses health over time. This gadget is better for passive plays or to even not getting killed by his counters.Star Powers⭐️Hard Landing💥: Edgar deals 1350 damage in an area where he jumps. Good to finish off enemies or dealing some extra damage.Fisticuffs❤️‍🩹: Edgar receives 25% more healing from damage he deals. Good to survive longer while assassinating an enemy.Best build🌈Gadget: Let's Fly
This gadget is better when you play aggressive and want to charge your super faster to assassinate squishy targets. If you play passive, then pick the other gadget because it will help you boost your HP while dodging long range brawlers.🔥Star Power: Fisticuffs
This star power heals Edgar more for every punch👊 he lands, making it easier to survive and to beat counters. It is paired well with the Hardcore gadget to have more chances of teamwiping without losing many HP.Gears: Super Charge & Damage
Super Charge to help him recharge his super faster for teamwipes, Damage⚔️ gear to boost your damage and also health. You may use Gadget Cooldown or Shield🛡 because Let's Fly is a very good gadget, but with a long cooldown. Shield is helpful because Edgar's health is not so big.Tips & Tricks🧣1. Teamwiping is easy with Edgar
But here's how to make it easier! Press the gadget before supering, because the punches combined with the gadget and all the damage you deal, can charge up to 3 supers! One super for every enemy, and they are done!💥2. Recharging your super faster🟡⬆️
Pressing Let's Fly gadget before supering is also a good thing while meeting counters. Here's a good example: Piper is alone while you jump on her. Keep in mind that you pressed your gadget before supering. Now that she supered, you got your super ready in 4 seconds, and you are ready to ambush her the 2nd time! Now, you secured an easy kill.3. Don't waste his hyper on a single enemy👿
His hyper can be chained on multiple enemies, so if you want to cycle them and charge it faster, don't waste it. Instead find grouped enemies or multiple enemies, either far away or either close.4. Super to dodge other abilities
His super can be crucial this time. It can allow you to dodge Dynamike's bomb or either to run far away. If you find a Shelly in a bush, then super right away, because every typical Shelly main will shot her super, making you completely invincible while jumping.5. Outsmart your enemies🧠
If a Primo is coming with the super, you can use your super to dodge him, and then kill him from the damage and heal advantage. It works same with Frank. If he supers, just jump and you will dodge him, securing you a free kill.6. Move backwards🦀
Moving backwards will give you a range buff, when fighting brawlers like Edgar, Buzz or El Primo.MatchupsJump in, dominate, or get deleted! Here’s who Edgar destroys—and who destroys him! 🔥Good Matchups1️⃣ Mr. P🐧. His damage is zero, he has no escape ability and gets countered very hard by Edgar.
2️⃣ Mortis🦇. Every typical Mortis main will try to dash-in dash-out, but you realize it, going to get them, with no escape.
3️⃣ Grom🔝. Only the two Grom mains could kill you, but an expert Edgar will dodge all the attacks with precision.
4️⃣ Poco🎶. His healing can't help him. Even his zero damage. A singer against a high-burst scarf slapper. Guess who wins!
5️⃣ Belle🔌. Edgar's healing will compensate Belle's damage, but her long range won't help her in a short range 1v1 combat.Bad Matchups1️⃣ Gene🤚🫖. His knockback counters you, and once you are grabbed with his mystical hand, you can get assassinated by Gene's teammates.
2️⃣ Bull📛. Um... so how many trophies will I lose right now? 🥴
3️⃣ Shelly🔫. Fantastico! Only one hint: Super.🟡
4️⃣ R-T📹. One he activated his gadget and got his super, you might ask why you died. Guess the answer!
5️⃣ Gale❄️. His slow counters you, his super counters you, the tornado counters you, the jump gadget counters you so... NERF POCO!------------------------------
