Guide
Sam Guide: Mastering the PowerhouseSam is a fantastic brawler, not necessarily in the meta, but if you can master him, you'll find it's easy to team wipe or clutch in situations where others might struggle. This guide will take you in-depth into Sam's gameplay and strategies.Best Build for SamStar Power: Hearty RecoveryHearty Recovery is, without a doubt, the best star power for Sam. In fact, I believe it should be part of his base kit. Sam struggles to play effectively without it. Hearty Recovery heals 20% of your missing health whenever you grab your Knuckle Busters. This ability is crucial for clutch situations and works exceptionally well on closed maps.Gadget: Magnetic FieldMagnetic Field is the gadget of choice for Sam. It pulls enemies toward your Knuckle Busters, allowing for strategic plays. Remember, the farther the enemy is within pulling distance, the longer it will take for them to move again. Timing is key—you can grab your Knuckle Busters and use the gadget simultaneously to attack as your enemies are pulled in.Gears: Shield and Damage- Shield Gear: The Shield gear is vital for Sam. With it equipped, Sam has only 300 less HP than a standard El Primo, making him a tank-assassin hybrid. While this turns Sam into a powerhouse, it also makes him a target for damage dealers.
- Damage Gear: The Damage gear is straightforward. When Sam’s health drops below 50%, he gets a 15% damage boost. This turns his attack from 2x1600 to 2x1840, and without his Knuckle Busters, it increases from 2x920. His super also gets a boost from 2800 to 3240.### Strategies Against Specific BrawlersKit:Kit can be a big problem, but there’s a strategy to counter him. Throw your Knuckle Busters and stay near a wall. Bait Kit into jumping on you, then spam your gadget until it works. Grab your Knuckle Busters and fight until Kit is defeated. It’s a simple bait-and-trap strategy.Edgar:Edgar is likely the easiest to counter. When Edgar jumps on you, use Combo One (explained later in the guide) and then run away while using your super. He’ll likely chase you, but two quick punches should finish him off, depending on how much health he healed or saved with his shield.Buzz:Buzz might be the hardest to counter, but it's possible. If you're near a wall and Buzz uses his super, time your gadget use to pull him in, which will cancel his super. You can then ambush him without getting stunned.### CombosFor these combos, I’ll use circles to represent each button:- 🔴: Attack
- 🟣: Hypercharge (might not be used)
- 🟡: Super
- 🟢: GadgetCombo One (🔴🔴🟡🔴🔴):This is the fastest combo, racking up to 10,800 damage. In most cases, you might finish off a brawler with just 🔴🔴🟡, but if you’re up against a tank, throw your super near a wall in case you need to use your gadget to stun them.Combo Two (🔴🟡x3):This combo can deal up to 18,000 damage, but it’s slow and dangerous, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re confident in your timing. Remember, you’ll need to pick up your Knuckle Busters before you can attack again.---This guide is just the beginning of mastering Sam. If you want to learn more about how Sam performs in specific modes or with other brawlers, keep scrolling. Much love to the Gold Arm Gang! (Notes:now there’s some stuff I forgot to add so my lazy self will add them here
When using your super use your knuckle busters besides walls to walk past them closely and grab them you can juggle it to keep them AND reset the temporary speed boost, and a emz strategy is now here!
Emz:when fighting an emz be very very close to her use 🔴🔴 then it’s if she gadgets you away just throw your knuckle busters to finish her off, she’s a squishy brawler) now for questions nobody asked!!!
Q:will you update this?
A:I’ll try as frequently as I could and if I ghost this build creator app my ig is @knuckle_buster_sam so just try and remind me
Q: there’s alot of more brawlers that are good with Sam how come they aren’t there
A:I could only add 4 for now sorry
Game Modes

Heist
Sam in Heist: A Strategy for Rapid Safe DestructionSam excels in Heist, and by using this "Heist Combo," you can clear safes even faster than a Colt. This strategy is a variation of Combo 1 with additional steps. Begin with (🔴🔴🟡), and when you throw your super, aim it near a wall for easy retrieval. As you pick up your Knuckle Busters, you'll reload 2 ammo due to the increased speed, allowing you to repeat the process continuously. This method also enables you to seamlessly switch between attacking enemy brawlers and focusing on the safe. With Sam's temporary speed boost, you can even be the average Max main, effectively dodging many ranged attacks. Additionally, if your health drops, Hearty Recovery will restore a portion of it, ensuring you remain in good condition for the rest of the battle.Much love again, Gold Arm Gang!

Brawl Ball
Brawl Ball could arguably be Sam's best game mode, potentially tied with Heist. This is likely the shortest description for any mode, so let’s get straight to it.Sam excels in both offense and defense, making him a versatile hybrid in Brawl Ball. Offensive Play:Though somewhat rare, a well-executed offensive maneuver with Sam can be incredibly rewarding. If the enemy team is clustered together, throw your Knuckle Busters at them. If all three brawlers are hit, you'll instantly recharge your super. Follow up by using your gadget to pull them in, then retrieve your Knuckle Busters and start eliminating brawlers one by one. You can also focus on targeting the weakest brawlers first, gradually working your way up to the stronger ones, which helps maintain consistent offensive pressure.Defensive Play:Sam is also highly effective on defense, thanks to his ability to deal significant damage in a short time. If an opponent is holding the ball, using your gadget on them will force them to drop it, creating a window of opportunity for you or your teammates to intercept and clear the ball. This tactic can clutch many critical situations, so it's important to use your gadget wisely.

Gem Grab
Oh brother, where do I start? Sam is outstanding in Gem Grab, both as a gem carrier and an aggressive attacker. Let’s begin with his offensive capabilities.Sam is the type of brawler who might go down frequently, but he’s likely to take a few opponents with him. This makes him perfect for protecting the gem mine while also surging into enemy territory to ambush and eliminate key targets (see what I did there?). Even when facing multiple opponents, you can use Hearty Recovery to heal while continuing to attack. This allows you to push through and reach the enemy brawler holding the majority of the gems.If you’ve accumulated a significant number of gems, it’s important to adjust your strategy. Focus on taking out brawlers who are squishy or already low on health. Be mindful of your opponents' ammo count, as it could be the difference between surviving and losing your gems. When you’re holding 8 to 10 or more gems, use walls to juggle your super and quickly retreat to a safe spot, preferably hiding in a bush. Trust that your teammates will defend the gem mine while you stay hidden. However, be prepared to step in if the enemy discovers your position or if your teammates need backup.Additional Strategy: Zone ControlBeyond direct confrontation, Sam excels at controlling specific zones on the map. With his high damage output and the ability to heal through Hearty Recovery, Sam can hold down key areas of the map, especially near the gem mine. Use your Knuckle Busters to maintain control over these zones by repeatedly pushing back enemies and forcing them to regroup. This strategy not only helps secure gems but also keeps the pressure on the enemy team, preventing them from advancing and collecting gems.

Duo Showdown
Tbh you’ll only need Melodie for this so the description which talks about duo showdown is in Melodies des
Works Well With

Melodie
Melody and Sam create a powerful synergy in three key game modes: Heist, Brawl Ball, and Duo Showdown.Heist:
In Heist, Melody and Sam can unleash tremendous damage at an impressive pace. Their combined firepower allows for effective multitasking—protecting Melody while simultaneously attacking the safe. With the right coordination, this duo can potentially destroy the safe faster than a Colt and Jessie team.Brawl Ball:
In Brawl Ball, Melody’s super synergizes well with Sam. Melody’s super only consumes a third of its charge each time, effectively giving her three supers. Sam can leverage this by positioning himself strategically. If Sam is far from Melody, she can use her super to propel the ball closer to the goal, enabling Sam to capitalize on the opportunity. While this might seem like a straightforward tactic, there is significant potential for deeper synergy between these two brawlers in this mode.Duo Showdown:
In Duo Showdown, Melody excels as a brawler who can survive longer despite being squishy, while Sam plays the role of an aggressive brawler who often risks his life to take down opponents. Since Sam can respawn, Melody can focus on collecting power cubes, allowing Sam to re-enter the fray with enhanced strength. This strategy makes them an incredibly effective duo, complementing each other's strengths perfectly—sorry, Belle lovers😢.

Nita
Sam and Nita form a more specialized pairing, but this single strategy can be highly effective. Although Nita is a squishy brawler, she can strategically position herself behind Sam, using him as a shield while dealing damage with her shockwave, which pierces through enemies. In return, Nita can support Sam by deploying Bruce. Sam can then use Bruce as a shield to ambush opponents. This duo also works well in Heist, where their combined strengths can significantly impact the game.

Sandy
Sam and Sandy primarily excel together in Brawl Ball, so this explanation will focus on that mode. Sandy, as a controller, complements assassins like Sam effectively. When Sandy uses his super, Sam can become invisible, allowing him to sneak up on unsuspecting brawlers and execute ambushes. Additionally, Sandy can support Sam in battles, thanks to his long-range attacks, which are akin to a mini buster attack. This combination of invisibility and ranged support creates a formidable duo in Brawl Ball.

Byron
Sam and Byron are highly effective when paired together, functioning well across nearly every game mode. Byron’s healing abilities complement Sam’s aggressive playstyle remarkably.Byron can heal 760 health three times with a single attack, providing Sam with valuable sustain during fights. This healing effect can significantly enhance Sam’s durability, especially when multiple heals are applied. Byron’s super is particularly advantageous, as it delivers substantial healing to Sam while simultaneously dealing damage to enemies within its range. This dual benefit of healing and damaging ensures that Sam remains in the fight longer and can continue to press the attack effectively.
