Is it just me, or is Sandy a lot like Poco?

Guide

Sandy's already one of the best brawlers in the game, being consistently ranked higher than most brawlers. However, the stats are only one part of a brawler. Sandy has two options when it comes to gadgets. While Sleep Stimulator is great for 1v1s, I personally find the Sweet Dreams gadget to be more helpful in more scenarios, such as ranked, brawl ball, gem grab, etc. I've seen some funny stuff with Sandy on the internet, but what I love the most is the combination of gears and star powers of Sandy. Healing Winds turns Sandy into a tank and a beast when paired with Exhausting Storm, and as a secondary gadget, almost anything works. I've noticed that many people use speed, but to me, it's not important enough compared to the shield, health, or damage gear. Damage is better for balancing Sandy, boosting him in 1v1s when he's on the brink of death (Just learned today that Sandy's male). Shield is a good option for any character, and the health gear is good for support. Depending on what you're using your Sandy for, you'll want to go with different characters. For everyone who's using the speed gadget, it's also completely valid, but why run away if you can just kill them?If you may have noticed by the name and description, I took inspiration off of Poco. That's because it is. It's simply a buffed version of Poco because the basic attacks are very similar, Sandy's star power heals (I wonder what Poco's role is), and they're both brawlers. To play this brawler, I'd recommend picking off anything that isn't a tank or a brawler with insane range (Angelo, Piper, Rico, I'm glaring at you) and leave it for your teammates, and try to kill everything else, or at least charge your super. If you need to, you can utilize your gadget to stun them and make a hasty retreat (if that's your type of playstyle, I WOULD recommend the speed gadget), and come back later to confirm the kill. Once you have your super, it's simple. In Brawl Ball, get the ball to the opponent's net and use your super, and use it in any other gamemode in a central area that annoys your opponents to the point of ragequitting.

Game Modes

Brawl Ball

Brawl Ball

It's simple. 1) Use your gadget when there's only one opponent standing in your way. 2) Run past them with the ball. 3) Super.
It takes a lot of skill to die when you are healing 190HP every second and are invisible to your enemy.

Gem Grab

Gem Grab

Sandy's super is insane for sitting in the centre of the map and collecting all the gems while annihilating anyone who comes close. To top it off, healing winds is a lifesaver.

Hot Zone

Hot Zone

Read Gem Grab description, and picture the gem grab area being a hot zone.

Works Well With

Angelo

Angelo

Long range brawlers (most noticeably Angelo and Piper) or sharpshooters are cracked but have 0 health. Imagine if they were invisible for 9 seconds and were being healed out of reach of tanks, while pairing well with characters that don't have that long of a range (Sandy). They can get rid of the annoying brawlers that stay out of the sandstorm to avoid the 20% debuff too.

Jessie

Jessie

Jessie has a niche use with Sandy, but great nonetheless. In Heist, Jessie is cracked because of her turret, but has a lot of trouble setting it up due to being frail. With Sandy, it pressures opponents to stay away, and if placed at the opponent's safe, Jessie can safely place down her turret and annihilate the safe.

Tick

Tick

I personally find Tick and Dynamike players really annoying. However, artillery characters like Tick sometimes don't have a lot of health. Hiding in the sandstorm allows them to be a nuisance to your opponents without dying.

Frank

Frank

This is just an example to show you that Sandy pairs with everything. Well, what about tanks with extremely slow startup on attacks? Look no further! With the special ability of being healed 190HP per second while being invisible, you'll need to try your hardest to die. Don't forget how enemies who try to get up close with you will deal 20% less damage.
