I use Edgar for solo showdown, duels, knockout, and bounty
Edgar’s gadget hardcore, lets him face foes with more health then him, like El Primo, Frank, Jacky, etc. With fisticuffs, this works even better.
If you go with fisticuffs, like I did, I would recommend getting the hardcore gadget, as shown above. This mainly focuses on combat without super spamming. If you decide to get hard landing, go with Let’s Fly, to super spam, and maybe even plus 1 gadget gear. I would recommend what is showed in the build that I made though.
If you do my build for Edgar, I would recommend the shield and damage gear, but super charging and damage also works.
His hypercharge is extremely useful, so I’d recommend only using when you are in a tough spot, about to win in a game mode, and need that final push, or when you think it’s appropriate to use it.
Using my build is not about spamming your super, but more about 1 on 1 combat, so here are some tips.
Circle around the person you are fighting while hitting them, so you get hit less.
If they have long range like belle, colt, piper, bea, Brock, etc. try and kite until you have your super, then if you haven’t already gotten close and defeated them, use your super and at close range, demolish them.
Try not to fight long range, or artillery.
Try not to fight people with extremely high burst damage, but it’s fine if you have to.
Don’t mindlessly attack counter like Shelly, Bulls, and Kenjis. Never waste a hypercharge attacking a Piper. The Piper will just gadget, and then super away, then snipe you and kill you.
Did you know that you can kill Franks? Start in front and attack, then go behind them while they’re attacking in front, and attack. Keep doing that until they’re low health. Then use super and dodge their super, and finish them off.
Never super on someone with a get a way or knockboack move. It is a waste/they kill you.
People hate how Edgar camps bushes until his super is ready, but that is what you should do to win.
With this build, since most people use hard landing for Edgar, you can obliterate other Edgars since you heal more.
Never, NEVER, attack Jackies with counter smash. At level 9 Jackie can destroy you with counter smash, if you have hypercharge you win, barely.
Meg is just scary. Don’t attack, just don’t.
Leon’s out range you, so don’t attack them.
Don’t be toxic, don’t spam clown and thumbs down after killing someone.
