Gain extra 900 Health as a consumable Shield. The shield regenerates in 10 seconds, when at full health.

Gadget:Power Shield
Its really good as it can save you from many death risks, expecially when you are exposed because you just killed someone.The other gadget can give an help charging your super in the first stages but i dont think its worth it as in the rest of the game you wouldnt use it.
Star power:Serve ice cold.
Charging your super with a surge in stage one is really hard so why having to repeat the process? The other star power is really situational so i guess for 3v3 this one is the best one.
Gear 1: damage gear.
Surge is a damage dealer and dealing even more damage looks like an opportunity not to miss.
Gear 2: shield gear.
Its always one of the best gears in the game and it wont disappoint.
Speed gear can also be a good replacement for one of them.

Brawl Ball

This is the mode where Surge truly shines so it's a no brainer to push him in this mode

Works Well With

Piper

A long range brawler can be really helpful to scare the other long range opponents in surge s first two stages as long range brawlers can easily counter him before the third stage

Colette

Surge is countered by tanks because of low DPS So colette counters his counters
