Guide
Note to Reader: This is a long read. Might take a bit to do so because I went into a lot of detail (Or at least tried to)Maisie is a medium skill floor, high skill ceiling brawler, with her ability to play both a defense role and an offensive role, similar to Gale. These abilities, along with her lack of hard counters, make her a jack of all trades for game modes, being very good in many, her knockbacks, slows, and stuns helping her hold her lane all too well.First thing off, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO. NOT. EVER. AUTO-AIM. Jokes aside, Maisie has the worst Auto-Aiming shot in the game, with her mechanic of a slow projectile speed going to a fast one mid-flight. Always aim you shots, and, instead of shooting where the opponent is, shoot where they are walking towards. If you've played other sharpshooters before you're already familiar with this. Learning the times between when you launch your shot and when it reaches it's max range shouldn't be too hard to get down. Maisie works best at rather mid-range instead of long range, having the shots be easier to hit, and the opponent having less room to dodge. With Maisie's super, she sends out a shockwave that deals some fair damage, and pushes enemies back a far range. Think of it like Gale's super, but a circle, or like a reverse Jacky super. This is primarily used for defense, keeping brawlers away at that good range you should trying to be at, like I said before. Again, think of it like Gale; Both defense and utility. You can knock people into the gas in Knockout, get people away from you in Bounty, make opponents drop the ball in Brawl Ball, or get them out of the way of their goal, etc. The Knockback is incredibly versatile.Maisie's Starr Power, which slows enemies for 2 seconds when hit by her super, adds a longer defensive effect to her super, which extends the utility as well. Like above, this can Maisie's super more threatening to go up against, as when you're knocked back and slowed in an uncomfortable position, Maisie and her teammates can finish off the kill.Maisie also has a rather fast charging super. It takes 4 main attack hits to charge, and 3 hits with the super itself to recharge, meaning, if you can hit the full enemy team, you get another super back. This super cycling can help with doing constant damage and slowing, as well as the ability to, perchance, super shot the ball into the goal in Brawl Ball. Don't be afraid to use you're super when you have it, due to it's fast charging speed. Bare this in mind when playing her.Maisie's Gadget, Disengage, is a dash that stuns enemies when at the base of the dash, for half of a second. This can be used in even more ways than her super; Getting away from a tank, such as Bull, who will make you magically disappear at point blank, or using it as just an evasive tool for avoiding a high damage shot, like a max range Piper shot, when you're at low enough health for it to end up killing you. The best way to use her dash is in conjunction with her super. The super has a delay to it, meaning you can pop super and immediately dash, with the shockwave coming out when you finish the dash. This helps when you are trying to push up the map, letting you go more aggressive with Maisie, and getting into the heat of the battle, safely.Maisie's Hypercharge, Aftermath, makes 6 of her main attacks come out of her super, with the same formation as Hank's super. This helps make her super even more threatening, allowing you to do more damage, if you line up the super when used, or you can simply dash in and hypersuper point blank to do the stupid amounts of damage. It takes 10 shots to charge, or 2 and a half supers, and considering that you can cycle supers rather easily, it's not going to be too hard to charge it up.Overall Maisie is a versatile and defensive marksman, who can hold up her lane very well, as well has being able to make opportunities to make amazing plays and pushes for both you and your team. I hope this guide helped if you are trying to learn Maisie. If you are; I just recommend practicing in game. Reading a guide on how to do something is only going to get you so far as apposed to learning it through experience.Thank you for your time and for reading this!
Game Modes

Brawl Ball
Maisie's whole assortment of stuns, slows, and knockbacks make her a great pick for both offence and defense in Brawl Ball, either knocking opponents away to score or to knock the ball out of their hands. Think of Maisie like Gale when it comes to Brawl Ball. Her gadget will also come in handy with self-passing the ball, if you ever need to do so to help score a goal.

Knockout
Maisie, though a marksman herself, might struggle a little more here, if you don't fully know what you're doing. Her shorter range compared to other marksmen like Piper and Mandy can leave her venerable. Though, with good positioning, you can make your way up the map more to be able to get into range and secure a kill.

Bounty
This is most likely Maisie's best mode. Bounty is a mode focused more on staying alive rather than getting kills, and Maisie, being the defense specializing marksman that she is, thrives here.
Works Well With

Fang
While unironically in the same trio as Maisie, Fang is known for being good on offence. Maisie is good with assisting fang, her knockbacks, slows, and stuns helping to make enemy moves more predictable, as well as grouping them together, making it easier for Fang to secure kills or even team wipes.

Grom
Other throwers can be substituted for Grom, however I am using Grom as an example. Her Tremors Starr Power helps a lot with throwers lining up their shots, specifically Grom, with his really weird and precise attack, giving him an opportunity to hit some shots easier, similar to Fang. She also doubles as protection from Mortis (and Kenji) with the super knocking them back, giving throwers more time to retreat. Throwers also have the ability to hit, well, other throwers, helping with Maisie's problem with them.
