This guide was made on the pretext of the reader being a decent brawl stars player. If you are new then you should use Bouncy castle/Super bouncy/Reload/ShieldGadget
Both of Rico’s gadget are meant for different things. Bouncy castle is for defensive players while Mulitball launcher is meant for players who like to go agro often. But in this build, Multiball launcher is superior because you want to be staying under 40% hp as long as possible without dying. This means you won’t really be using the heal often. And because Rico is vulnerable to assassins that can quickly close of distance, he can pop that gadget and decimate the enemy brawler.Star powers
Rico’s Star power, Robo retreat is a lot better than Super bouncy. The first reason being that while Super bouncy is only usable in addition to walls, the Robo retreat can we used anytime and can help a lot while running away from assassins or dodging attacks. The other reason why Robo retreat is better is because it has really good synergy with the rest of this build. The damage gear and the reload speed gives you additional buffs when below 40% hp. This is great because you want to be staying under 40% all the time so you can get that extra speed boost.Gears
The reload speed is a must as it lets Rico fire faster and more often. The damage gear is best for the second slot as once you’re under 40% hp to activate Robo retreat, the 15% damage boost also kicks in.Hypercharge
Try to use your hypercharge when you are under 40% hp and have your super, as a hypercharged Rico super can bounce around the entire map. And like always, the hypercharge gives additional buffs and when stacked with Robo Retreat and the damage gear, it makes you an absolute menace.Tips and tricks

Heist
Rico’s hypercharge and gadget absolutely destroys the heist safe in less than a minute.
Bounty
A good Rico player can use his hypercharge to teamwipe and get a huge bounty, quickly winning the round.
Works Well With
Max
When Max uses her super while Rico’s Robo Retreat star power is active he becomes the fastest brawler in Starr Park, able to get into position and retreat faster.
Gus
Gus can give Rico a shield allowing him to keep the buffs of Robo Retreat while not worrying about dying too quickly.
