Poison is a very unusual type that relies on DoT (Damage over Time) with the Poisoned Debuff. Most Cookies in this type don't focus so much on Direct Damage, as they do with Indirect Damage. If you see a lot of people running Jelly Apples instead of Raspberries on Poison Types, that's completely normal. It means they're boosting the Damage of the Poison, not the damage of their attacks.

Black Sapphire is pretty much the ultimate support for Poison Types. He can heal poison types, give them damage resist and boost all their attack by 35%. His skill involves adding stacks of Poison for every stack of Poison on an enemy. A bit hard to describe, but he basically adds his own stack of Poison that deals damage scaling off the current Stacks of Poison. The Stacks of Poison tick faster, so make sure to have plenty of Poison stacked on the enemy before using his skill! (For his toppings, I recommend a 6/6 Spread of Apple Jellies (with a CRIT Tart). For his Beascuit, I recommend x4 Poison Damage traits.)

Prune Juice is the best applicator of Poison in the whole game. His regular attacks can inflict Poison on their own, but he's more known for his skill. He can summon Prune Jellies that inflict Poison every time they swing at something with their arms and passively through gas clouds. Enemies struck by his skill will receive a stack of "Sticky Goo" (unless immune) which will dispel itself if any debuff were to expire, acting as a shield. It should be noted that unlike any other Poison Type, Prune Juice's Poison can stack indefinitely. (For his toppings, I recommend a 50/50 Spread of Apple Jellies and Chocolates. For his Beascuit, I recommend either 1 Poison Damage and 3 Cooldowns, or 4 Cooldowns)

Affogato has a special ability to curse an enemy with a Buff Block (unable to receive buffs) and Amplified Debuffs, but we'll be using him for his other ability. He has the ability to deal great damage to enemies for every Stack of Poison they lose. This is alright on its own, but it becomes terrifying if the enemy has a massive stack of Poison. They'll be taking non-stop damage from Affogato for every stack of Poison they lose. (For his Toppings, I recommend a full spread 6/6 of Raspberries. For his Beascuit, I recommend x4 Poison Damage).

Royal Margarine is not as strong as Prune Juice for poison application, but he is blessed with something else he doesn't have: Immunity Frames. All Ambush Cookies have immunity-frames during their skill. Much like Prune Juice, Royal Margarine is used to give many, many stacks of Poison to the enemies, whilst punishing them with debuffs in the process. His ATK and DEF reduction debuffs are capable of stacking, which can grind the enemies to a screeching halt whilst they get stacked with Poison, unable to do anything. (For his Toppings, I recommend a 6/6 spread of Chocolates. For his Beascuit, I would recommend x4 Cooldown or x2 Cooldown and x2 Damage Resist.)

Matcha has the ability to extend the duration of all Poison Debuffs. This isn't related to Amplify Debuff, it's her own unique buff she gives to her allies. Unfortunately, most bosses are immune to her unique debuff: Matcha Malice. This pretty much cuts her usage in half, but she still has the ability to extend Poison Debuffs! If you want Poison stacks to last as long as possible, bring Matcha in your team. (For her Toppings, go for a 50/50 spread of Chocolates and Almonds. For her Beascuit, go for x2 Damage Resist and x2 Cooldown.)

Overall, Poison is a type that excels WAY better at fighting bosses and getting high scores on Raid Bosses. It struggles to deal with regular enemies as Poison is designed to concentrate damage on a single target, not a crowd of them.
