On avg level 19 I managed to fully clear the Dungeon and make a golden army!

Best traits to start with are:
Summon footmen whenever you play alliance
Heal all units by 50% when you deploy your leader.

Tactics:
Basically just deploy footmen with Tirion and shaman to keep em up all time . Use ogre for solo lane or behind troops and huntress always behind footmen.
On last boss I focused only center with two armies of footmen two Tirion and two shamans manging to get together to boss and deploying my fast huntresses behind.
