Guide
When the game begins, take your time to analyze it !
This build is primarily defensive (use the still-living defensive troops to attack) !
Things to absolutely avoid :
- Placing the General Drakkisath first without having 9 or 10 gold (especially not at the deployment zone limit).
- Not placing it at the deployment zone limit if there is no Pyromancer or Frostwolf Shaman behind (especially if after deploying the General Drakkisath, you have less than 2 gold remaining).
Defensive strategies :
- For large pushes (multiple ground troops) incoming : defend with the General Drakkisath and the Pyromancer (if the push consists of many troops).
- For large pushes (scarce large ground troops) incoming : defend with the General Drakkisath and the Frostwolf Shaman (if the push consists of a few large troops).
- For medium pushes (multiple ground troops) incoming : defend with the Gnoll Brute and/or the Skeleton Party (if the push consists of many troops).
- For medium pushes (scarce medium ground troops) incoming : defend with the Gnoll Brute or the Skeleton Party (if the push consists of a few medium troops).
- For aerial pushes (multiple airborne troops) : defend with the Pyromancer or the Skeleton Party (if the push consists of many troops, small/medium).
- For aerial pushes (scarce large airborne troops) : defend with the Pyromancer and/or the Frostwolf Shaman or the Skeleton Party (if the push consists of a few troops, medium/large).
Attack strategies :
- For attacks that do not result from defense : generally less effective (unless the General Drakkisathl is accompanied by the Pyromancer and the Frostwolf Shaman).
- For attacks that result from defense : if the General Drakkisath is well-protected (by the Pyromancer and/or the Frostwolf Shaman or the Skeletons), taking a tower should not be too difficult ; you can always add the Earth Elemental and/or the Skeleton Party to draw the tower's focus. ; you can place the Gnoll Brute slightly behind the General Drakkisath's supports to cover them from potential attacks.
The same strategy can be used against bosses (to be adjusted a bit for each boss, of course).
Use the Holy Nova at any decisive moment, but try to always make the most of the 3 gold spent! Don't forget that you can eliminate troops with low health and/or lower levels, as well as troops that have lost a significant amount of HP (especially if allied troops are nearby).
