Your main target is to keep Thalnos alive meanwhile you increase its level.

Ghoul is one the best tank of the game given its 2 gold cost. With canniblism trait it will become a strong first line to protect Thalnos. Use smoke bomb to give it 2 additional levels (and one more to Thalnos) to make it even more stronger.

Arcane blast will be the key spell to level up your Thalnos and will help you to clean that kobold that want to steal your gold.

Holy nova with inner fire will increase your Thalnos (and your Ghoul) survivability to the next level with the heal and armor/resistance hability

Do you need a couple more attacks before Thalnos die to destroy that tower? Don't worry Cheat Death spell will give your Thalnos that last breath. Also with the Vampirism trait it can help you to give a little more heal and survive until your next Holy nova. Note: keep in mind that the life steal is per damage tick, not for a damage %

Polymorph will keep your Thalnos safe for those minis that can easily get down your Thalnos (Tauren, Abomination, Huntress...). Also this spell removes the Resistance/Armor habilities so it will help you to kill Fire Elementals as they were Paper Elementals

Finally, the best trait for Thalnos in this build is the Bane trait because we will have a permanent Bloodlust due the huge amount of spells that we can launch.

Tip 1: Be patient, launch your Thalnos always far away of the oponent spawn zones to give you time to increase Thalnos level.

Tip 2: spells will increase the level for every Thalnos in the field so spam Thalnos every time you can
