Guide
There's not too much to say about this one. Upgrade a Dart Globlin to two stars (Long Shot and Pride), and protect it with a variety of minis. The mini choice here focuses on variety so as to counter as many other strategies as possible. The Dart Globlin will do the rest once its attack speed stacks to insane proportions. This deck can even counter Witch builds, which makes me happy in this early Season 5 meta.
Shield Maiden, Mega Knight for tankiness and stun.
P.E.K.K.A for burst damage.
Lumberjack for DPS.
Fisherman for displacement.
The Fisherman can be swapped out for Miner or Prince if you prefer to attack from the back. I choose Fisherman as it offers crucial displacement capability against the Saint Mirror.
You can also swap out Lumberjack for any other damage dealer. Truthfully, I like Spear Goblin better in this deck, but the Mirror is a hard counter to this build enough as it is. Attack-speed-focused melee, such as from Valkyrie, has produced better results for me through to Gold 1.
Be aware that this deck has no 2-cost minis. Do not reroll until you have three to spend, or unless you need to sell the Dart Goblin to power up Lumberjack in situations where your darts are hard countered.
Gizmos
Pocket ArtilleryPocket Artillery is my preferred choice when it's given. This, and pretty much any gizmo, acts as a shield for the Dart Goblin. It does significant damage, and the Dart Goblin is very capable of cleaning up what's left.
Against Pocket Artillery, keeping your Dart Goblin in the corner away from the fight usually helps it survive. That said, this gizmo is a fatal threat to this build when it hits Dart Goblin. You can sell Dart Goblin to go tanky, or do your best to take out the artillery before it launches.
Saint MirrorSaint Mirror is a conditional choice for this deck. It doesn't particularly add anything to your strategy except to counter arrows or burst damage.
Against Saint Mirror, however, is another story. You absolutely must use Fisherman to pull opponents in front of the shield, or else Dart Goblin will not resist its shiny allure. If all else fails, sell Dart Goblin and pull your entire line to the back. This forces your opponents to walk in front of their mirror to get blammed by your melee damage.
Hopefully, you play your own mirror against opposing ranged minis. If not, you will likely lose the match as your own minis seek reflective death one by one. Consider waiting to deploy your mirror until you see what your opponent deploys.
Hot PotHot Pot is great as a shield for Dart Goblin.
Counters
Countess
Countess is one of the few major threats to this deck. To survive, you need to build all five minis in a defensive block to deal enough DPS to Countess.
Wave MasterWave Master is powerful in Season 5. Some might say too powerful. You will need a bit of luck to survive his Wave Dashes. Remember that it always seeks the farthest opponent. Put Dart Goblin toward the front along with a tank. By pairing and spreading out your minis, there's a chance Wave Dash will leave Dart Goblin alone long enough for you to take Wave Master out.
WitchThis is one of the few decks I've found that consistently beats the Witch in Season 5. However, you really have to protect your Dart Goblin until its attack speed is all the way up. This can be countered by Pocket Artillery, so beware, and spread out if necessary.
