Set up SK for the perfect fisherman combo.
Deck
Guide
Pretty simple concept. SK-HR placement means SK with fisherman's help also protects vs miner. Goblin and HR are early priorities.
Goblin gives clutch antiheal vs golden giant, and is well protected nested in the center of your formation. You usually max him, or at least get damage up and invis. He is less useful against Shield Maiden. Consider a risky T1 where you waste your rerolls looking for goblin. If you're not doing that, discard your hand by placing and selling for essentially a free reroll T1. Once you've discarded the cards you don't want, put down HR and Goblin as shown. Then if you win T1, burn a couple of rerolls for Goblin 2 and 3.
Healing Ranger is an easy 2*, with unstoppable saved for heavy cc enemy builds. It's less useful against Royal Champion than you'd expect, because the stun is minor compared to the chain damage. (Edit: HR was nerfed. Dart Goblin works well as a replacement, see bottom)
Prince stops key frontline clash abilities (fastest clash activation), shreds backline in round 5, saves someone else from another prince, or whaps a tank to the backline if there arent troops blocking the landing. He is fine unupgraded, but if he's hitting a key backline feel free to level him.
Fisherman goes after literally anything in the first two rows. If the only target for your killbox is a golden giant, so be it. SK will use it as skelly fuel regardless. Don't play him on the front row unless you're playing around him getting whacked by prince or it's the last round. You can get the stun or isolation dmg, but the stun is usually only worth it if the target has decent dps.
Lumberjack is the diciest pick here, and can certainly be subbed for something else. I'm trying it out post-buff. I would sub it out based on the current tile.
Royal Champion is a struggle with this deck, unfortunately, and the fisherman is dead against Shield Maiden. You can still win against SM, but it requires pretty clever isolation manipulation. Don't invest in goblin against her either.
You should have a pretty easy time against more or less everyone else. Opponents can play around this deck, but they *really* have to be hyper paranoid about fishboy.
Edit: With the most recent patch, I'm playing around with Prince -> P.E.K.K.A. and HR -> Dart Goblin. P.E.K.K.A. is more necessary to brawl if they don't give you a good hook (which happens a lot at high ranking), and Dart Goblin because of LJ synergy + HR nerf. Also with the SM nerf, Dart Goblin is useful in pretty much every matchup now. But keep it on the DL because we still want them to think we have prince. Alternatively, drop Goblin instead.
Counters
Alt setup if you want a center start instead. If they do something like SM front row however, your SK blocks 0* Fisherman. Which is annoying.
