Deck

Guide

Skeleton King should always have the 1st, isolated, upgrade. Only move him in the last round 3rd, 4th or 5th unless the enemy already moved their hero already.

Lumberjack should have the clash ability to support the Mini Pekka, Pekka, Skeleton king and the fisherman. He should be your second unit placed down, that acts as a support.

Skeleton king can be used to distract any incoming damage or at least use his death bomb. Upgrading is possible but not recommended.

Mini Pekka can be placed anywhere and should always have energy drain. He can also be replaced with the pekka if you feel more comfortable. If you do that, then make sure that Fisherman has the clash ability +4 seconds of stun.

Fisherman is the most important card in this. He acts as your support and as a pickup character. You usually want to fish in any strong units like heroes or damage dealers like Pekka. You can place him early if you feel confident, but remember that the enemy can always move their hero, usually one tile away so get the 3 hook upgrade. If you have one of the troops hooked in like the hero, make sure to move your Skeleton king 2 to the left from where the pekka is standing so he gets as much value from the Isolated damage bonus and energy steal.

Your pekka is one of your damage dealers and works with great syngery when it comes to the Fisherman's clash ability. The upgrade choice is generally yours but make sure to give him the damage he needs.

This deck is great at countering any melee type unit or hero.

Mini P.E.K.K.A
Fisherman
Lumberjack

Barbarian king usually isn't moved or else he doesn't gain as much value. Use fisherman to suck the Barbarian king towards the Pekka, usually in the 3rd or 4th round. The upgrade path can stay the same. Once Barbarian king is hooked in, make sure that either the Pekka, or the Skeleton king is distracting the barbarian king. You usually want any energy drain units to attack him by then.

Placements should stay generally the same. Except when you move the Skeleton King.

VS.Shield MaidenShield MaidenTwo Swords
Skeleton King
Giant Skeleton
P.E.K.K.A
Mini P.E.K.K.A
Fisherman
Lumberjack

Shield Maiden is the biggest threat, so you want to try and fishhook her in as soon as possible. Let Pekka, Lumber Jack and Skeleton King distract as your Mini Pekka (with energy Drain) and your Skeleton king (with his first upgrade) pick the Shield Maiden. The Energy Drain will make it hard for the Shield Maiden to get her shield. And make sure that the Fisherman has the Stun and Vulnerability Upgrade.

You can also change the order or the location of the troops depending on the placements.

VS.CountessCountessTwo Swords
Skeleton King
Giant Skeleton
P.E.K.K.A
Mini P.E.K.K.A
Fisherman
Lumberjack

This is one of many examples on how your board should look against a Countess match up. It's important that Skeleton King has the first upgrade. Energy Drain is essential in this. You should ALWAYS have the fisherman hook Countess in as she's going to be the biggest threat. Most Countess Decks are played with the goblin buff (Chance to dodge) so you want rather fast attacking units to take care of her. In this case Skeleton king and Mini Pekka, but if you find yourself in a match where they don't run that combo, you can switch Mini Pekka with Pekka if you want to. Skeleton King should be in front of Fisherman just in case any clash ability hinder him from doing so.

You can also change the order of the troops depending on the match up.

VS.MonkMonkTwo Swords
Skeleton King
Giant Skeleton
P.E.K.K.A
Mini P.E.K.K.A
Fisherman
Lumberjack

Monk is the biggest threat, so you want to try and fishhook him as soon as possible. This Match up is tricky. If the Monk has his first ability (Full energy at the beginning) then you might want to NOT use fishhook unless you know their full deck. If they don't have any clash ability that can stun then you are free to use Fisherman as a good option, but if they have something like electro wizard or bowler that they use then use the Giant Skeleton Stun to stop him. Make sure that Mini Pekka is hitting Monk while Skeleton King and Pekka act more as Meat Shields so they can continue draining Monk of his ability.

You can also change the order of the troops depending on the match up.
