The core units of this deck are villager wave and ice wiz. The back line units can be easily interchangeable especially Miner. Sometimes I swap him out with a spear gob, royal recruit, or a skele giant to tank up front. On round one upgrading wave master and placing him with an ice wiz is the optimal play. What ever wave master upgrade you choose is up to you. But I mainly run heal upgrade to save elixir on my heal ranger. After the 1st round try your best to give ice wiz the +8 shield option to counter potential early round damage taken. The 2nd most important troop would be villager. What ever upgrade you do first doesn't matter, I prefer to go damage boost first and then +3 heals. For the back 3 all can be changed at will depending on what minis you find preform better. For mine upgrade energy drain to counter ranged energy units like witch ewiz wizard and archer queen. Upgrading heal ranger with immunity upgrade counters troops that slow and stun like ice wiz and skeleton king. Swapping a backline unit with valk to counter shields is another possibility with this deck. The Versatility of this deck is what makes it so fun for me to mess around with.
Counters
Countess and Miner are probably the biggest counters I've faced with this deck. Although their ability to counter falls off layer into the game. Prioritizing unstoppable on heal ranger and position magic archer further from main backline troops can help with this later on. Or bringing a unit that counters magic archer in place of one of your backline units. I notice countess is more annoying to face when running valk royal guard or skele king instead of a Miner heal ranger or magic archer
