Guide

Focus on upgrading your magic archer.
If you notice them breaking through your defense lines too fast, upgrade SG and Knight.

Royal Ghost takes care of Miners and other potential threats.
He's only there for the Invisibility, so focus on upgrading other units.

I'd say
MA > Knight > SG > Ice Wizard > Royal Ghost, in most cases.

Once you get MA to 3 star, you can replace your Royal Ghost to your front line and work around that.
Then put the non-invisible units far away from your MA so they draw the attention away from them.
That way your MA will have all the time in the world to get his damage out.
